With years of experience writing and illustrating children’s books, she has built a brand dedicated to inspiring young readers through engaging stories and vibrant artwork. As her company has grown, so has its vision. In addition to publishing original children’s literature, LDR Publishing Company now helps Authors of all varieties achieve their goal of becoming published!

Betty Hargis
Senior Editor
Betty Hargis brings 36 years of editorial experience to her work, beginning her career with First Baptist Church, then spending more than 20 years with Lifeway, and now serving as senior editor with our team for over 14 years. She has edited a wide range of books, with a special passion for children’s curriculum, where her thoughtful approach and deep understanding of young audiences stand out. Known for her steady professionalism and kind, collaborative spirit, Betty loves helping authors bring their work to life. When she’s not editing, she enjoys spending time with family, painting in a variety of mediums, and traveling whenever she can.
Angelina Flora
Continuity Editor & Virtual Assistant
Angelina Flora is a lifelong book lover with an insatiable curiosity for the world. She is a mom of four, a dedicated wife and loyal friend who shows up, listens deeply, and believes in celebrating others just as much as she celebrate life’s own adventures. She shares her home with two lovable dogs who keep things joyful and just a little chaotic.
Her love of travel has taken her across the United States and around the globe, giving a deep appreciation for new places, cultures, and stories.
When she’s not turning pages, you’ll usually find her behind a camera, capturing life’s little moments, or sipping a much-needed cup of coffee. After years of exploring, Angelina is currently settled in beautiful Alabama, but her sense of adventure (and to-be-read pile) is still growing.
A lover of stories, connection, and creativity, she is always ready for the next journey - whether it’s across the globe or between the pages of her next favorite read.
Isabella Ruiz
Marketing Manager & Virtual Assistant
Isabella Ruiz is a YA author and content creator from Southern Alabama who aims to share her love of writing and reading. She graduated from The Young Writer’s Workshop Academic Track in 2024 with multiple years of writing and marketing education.
She was awarded a scholarship for The Author Conservatory in 2025 as well as a nomination for The Next C.S Lewis Fellowship. She’s been working in literary marketing for nearly three years and excited to bring her knowledge and assistance to LDR Publishing.
Mikayla Pauley
Digital Content Producer
Mikayla Pauley is currently in college and has loved to read for as long as she can remember. She loves anything that has to do with reading books, buying books, and talking about books! She started a social media page in 2020 to share her love of reading with others, which in turn made her fall in love with the online book community!
When she’s not reading or writing book reviews you can find her journaling, playing on her switch, or endlessly scrolling on TikTok for hours!
