April Harris

April Harris is a visual artist, illustrator, and designer based in Birmingham, Alabama. Her work centers on fanciful animals, fairytales, and quiet moments in nature. Trained as a graphic designer and illustrator at Auburn University, she brings a narrative sensibility to her illustration practice, blending realistic detail with storybook fantasy. She explores the enchanting realms of fairies and children’s stories, infusing her work with a sense of playfulness and wonder. April is the wife of a science researcher / chef extraordinaire, mom of 2 rambunctious kids, a herder of 2 cats, and an avid reader of nonfiction and fantasy.
